15 Most Overpaid Coaches

We recently looked at the highest-paid college football coaches. Since then, Nick Saban signed a new deal moving him to the top of the list.
But a lot of those coaches are worth the price tag producing teams that consistently compete for conference and national championships.

No way Saban and Stoops deserve to be on that list. I don't have a problem with the others.

He is going by cost per win and nothing else. He takes nothing into consideration concerning the revenue a coach helps bring in, or any other factors.

I can tell you there is no way CNS and Coach Stoops and the guy from Mexico are overpaid. It find it amazing that U of Mexico can even get a coach. RTR!

Cost per win has nothing to do with whether or not you are overpaid.

Revenue per win minus cost per win would be a much better indicator.  I'm guessing this fellow did not graduate from the Culverhouse College of Commerce and Business Administration.

As you can probably tell, I enjoy a lot of the articles on Business Insider, but, the sports related topics have something to be desired.....and I don't agree with

Houston Nutt at #1 is pretty funny, and might be accurate too.  But cost per win is a poor business model.  If they looked at additional revenue generated for the university, then Saban would be the #1 bargain.  There isn't a major university in the country that wouldn't pay Saban what Bama pays to have him as their head coach now.

I am glad that you and SC said this, CP. I was trying to put my finger on what was wrong this article all yesterday, and you guys hit the nail on the head.
