Quote
Alabama wide receiver Duron Carter, who was among three players listed by Nick Saban as suspended heading into spring practice, suggested on his Twitter account Wednesday night that he plans on returning to the team in the near future.

Carter, who transferred to Alabama last summer from Coffeyville Community College, tweeted:

"Everyone asking if I'm going to play or not ... Guess we'll see in the spring, but I'll tell you this I'm still in Tuscaloosa #ROLLTIDE"

Carter has become quite a distraction for this team and it all started from day one that he arrived on campus. I'm not sure what the whole story is behind him but I kind of wish he would either clean up his problems or just go away. There's something very wrong in all of this that hasn't been made public, maybe somebody with loosen their lips in the near future with the truth about him.

Have you ever had an ex-girlfriend who periodically gets drunk and calls to chat?   Banging your head against the wall.

"Chat" is not really the descriptive I would use for the call. More like  Angry.

I sometimes wish we could simply hang up on Duron!
It's just that he still looks so good, ya know.  If we could just...

Some folks call snakes a beautiful thing, I say keep your distance unless you want to get bitten. He could help the team but his name keeps popping up in the paper too much for the wrong things.

Usually, someone will talk and at least some of these incidents become public. That would not appear to be the case under CNS's watch. Him having a tight-lipped organization would be an understatement. But, whatever the case may be, DC either needs to get it all together or find another place to play (sh** or get off the pot).

You guys do realize that along with keeping the major team rule violations quiet, CNS must also keep a lid (so to speak) on the "who left the toilet seat up" violations. To not give away the major infractions he must treat them all in the press as the same. He has been in on every step of the DC thing and I have not. I'll graciously defer.

And he's darn good at it.

Finebaum said this week that Carter would be back for fall practice and available to play next year. In his normal way he would not say where he got the information but suggested it was from a reliable source.
