Chase Goodbread, Tuscaloosa News, is reporting this in todays paper. He said McElwain interviewed for the job and then removed his name from consideration.

Like I said in another thread, both CKS and CJMc know they are in a good situation at Bama. Reportedly, facilities (which relates to budget) at Memphis, and budget at Fresno St were issues for CJMc. Facilities matter in attracting recruits and developing athletes. This is not an issue at Bama but it will be at lots of other places.
