Quote
How bad did Chris Petersen either not want to leave Boise or go to Los Angeles?  He looked several million reasons squarely in the eye — and didn’t blink and, most importantly for his current employer, didn’t budge.

Earlier Friday, it was reported that Petersen had said, in essence, “thanks to no thanks” to the opportunity to replace Rick Neuheisel at UCLA. ...

Petersen is not married I'd guess.

He is married and they have two boys. He must be very happy at BSU. Every year his name comes up for what appears to be better jobs and he does not leave. I admire that. He makes good money and his family is happy in Boise so why leave.

Once the state taxes are taken out it'd probably be a pay cut. Smart move Petersen.

Good point, and also factor in the other cost of living increases to move from Boise to California.

What little I watched of the game, I saw this.  UCLA is not a very strong football team.  They don't play sound fundamental football.  Also, there seem t be no excitement/bounce in their step.

Granted, BSU has to scratch and claw to get to the BCS, but right now UCLA is a black hole. They are going to have to find someone who has a strong recruiting background.
