For all of you folks that have been wondering how good Alec Morris is, you've got a chance to see him play tonight . His high school, Allen, Tx will be playing Plano, Tx at 7 pm.

I can tell you his team is ranked very high in the 5A division with a 5-0 record and he has some big numbers posted so far this year.

So far they are getting their tails kicked. Morris not looking very good, but I think the coach is making some bone-headed decisions. It looks like Plano East is the better team.

Well, from what I saw last night Morris has a long way to go to play in the SEC, but there is a lot of potential there. He doesn't take snaps from under the center, which he will have to do at Bama, and he fumbles the ball way too much. He does have a good arm but desperatly needs some coaching to establish better timing with his receivers. He completed some nice passes but he sure missed some wide open receivers.

That being said, I think he will make a good fit at Bama. Unless something happens, Sims will be the next starter at Bama after McCarron and this should give Morris plenty of time to bring his skills up to par. He has the tools, just needs some better coaching.

Thanks for letting us know this would be on Jamos.  Applause E-Cred
I watched the game. I am not sure how I feel about Morris at this point. I was not blown away but I see potential. I like his size. The game was awesome.  Plano East is pretty good to be 2-4. They almost beat the # 3 HS team in the country.

I bet the dude returning kicks for Plano East will be getting a few calls in the near future.

Morris' stats looked good 20/29 for a little under 300 yards, 2 TDs, 0INT.

Alec Morris' season stats (6 - 0):

108 of 173 (62.43%), 1,635 yards (15.1 yards per completion), 21 touchdowns, 33 att / 90 yds, 2.73 ypc, 3 rushing touchdowns. Still has not recorded an INT.

Looks pretty good to me!  No INTs with 21 TDs and 173 attempts looks particularly good!

From what I seen there was 2 high powered high school teams. Morris was not bad he kept coming back. The defense was bad or the other offense of Plano was great. RTR!

Did you watch the game? He was OK. He did not blow me away. I saw a ton of potential. I expected more last night but the Plano East team was playing way over their heads. I'm not a recruiter but he did not look like a sure fire can't miss college QB to me last night.
