Auburn's strengths on offense proved ineffective against Ole Miss, which gained its most yards in SEC play in nearly 46 years in a 27-19 win on the Plains on Saturday.
The Tigers (4-4, 1-4 SEC) entered the game leading the SEC in third-down conversion but were just 2 for 15 against the Rebels. Auburn's rushing attack, the backbone of Gus Malzahn's offense was held to a season-low 125 yards in its second-lowest outing of his tenure at Auburn (120 against Mississippi State in 2013).
