linkTUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- The Alabama North-South All-Star Classic seems like a lifetime ago for the guys who played it in 2006.
That was the first time William Vlachos, then a center out of Mountain Brook, battled then-Prattville defensive tackle Nick Gentry.
"I thought he was a linebacker because of his size," Vlachos said. "I was playing guard that game, and he lines up in a three technique. I was like, 'What's going on?' Unbelievable pass rusher. I said it after that game, 'He was the most unbelievable pass rusher I faced at that point.' He still brings it every play. Very talented player for being undersized."
Now on the tail end of his career, Gentry talks passionately about his future and football.
When Alabama coach Nick Saban was asked about Gentry, the coach said he believes the senior defensive lineman would make a "really good coach."
