I think the plan is to use a lot of different pitchers in today's double header and save the arms for this weekend. Eicholtz got the start and pitched three innings giving up 1 hit, 0 runs and struck out 4. Freshman Jake Waters is pitching now.

Freeman walks the only two batters he faced. Our closer Thomas Burrows is coming in to stop this rally.

Bama leads 7-2 but bases are loaded with 1 out.

Burrows did his job getting the first batter he faces to ground into a 4-6-3 double play.

Bama leads 7-2. Bama coming to bat B7.

Glad they took them both. Savannah State isn't exactly a powerhouse, but Bama isn't exactly a good cold weather team. I hope this gives them some momentum going up against ULL.

Casey Hughston is en fuego!

We should sweep Savannah State and we did. They have a RPI of 159. They played UAB last week and got swept but two of the games were one run losses. The cold weather can be an equalizer this time of year.

The RPI and NCAA Committee will not consider these as two good wins but they would have considered them two bad losses so these games are important.
