I don't hate to hear that.  Part of the coaches' job is to know the rules and abide by them.  He broke them knowing full well it was wrong and this is the price.  Good for Alabama...

Yeah, you're right since you know he has been told the rules by Saban & the university. I was thinking of his family and him losing his job, but he had to go.

Not sure if you were being sarcastic or not but...I do hate this for his family.  They are the innocent victims in all of this and they deserved better.  Whether or not Coach Saban/university told him the rules or not?  No idea but I am pretty confident that part of his job is to know all rules, especially those that directly effect the players and their eligibility.

Not me.

Can have that type of person associated with the program.  Too much to lose.

The athletic department might need to star giving IQ tests prior to hiring.

If my cousin knows he cannot pay for Mark Ingram's burger and Coke at lunch a coach should know he cannot give a $500 loan to a player.

The NCAA has a authorized avenue for player loans.

My biggest concern is that one would assume that he did not disclose his alleged relationship with the agent during the interview process.

If he did and he was still hired that is even more of a concern.

Was he at Miami prior to his arrival in Tuscaloosa?
