"Oh he was really fired up," receiver Kevin Norwood said. "In a way, I don't blame him because there were too many balls on the ground. That's not us."

The Tide also dropped at least four of AJ McCarron's passes, but none of the miscues impacted the final result.

"I just had the ball low and I had a player hit my leg and it just came out," Yeldon said of his first-quarter fumble at the Kentucky 1-yard line. ...

I was rolling with laughter last night when SC started with the 'chicken-wings' jokes.  Then the sideline coach started doing the chicken-flapping imitation...  Too funny.

Dropped passes and fumbles are usually mental mistakes and this team has not been  mentally sharp(championship level) all year. They had made some progress in that area but took three giant steps backward yesterday.

Dropped passes and fumbles are usually mental mistakes and this team has not been  mentally sharp(championship level) all year. They had made some progress in that area but took three giant steps backward yesterday.

I think the way the team rebounded after all the mistakes gives signs of hope, of just how good this team can really be.  So while the team did take a step or two (or 5 or 6) backwards at first, they might have made a big leap forward by the end, perhaps finally starting to realize that Saban is right.  I'm glad they made these mistakes during the Kentucky game, instead of a tougher opponent who might make us pay for it.  (credit to in-the-game comments). 

We'll see if this team continues to bounce forward.
