-- Outside linebacker Denzel Devall "sprained his knee a little bit" during the first quarter, Saban said. He did not return to the game.

"He probably could have gone back and played a little," Saban said. "We just said we need the guy down the road, we've got other guys that can play. We've got other guys that we want to play, so we didn't put him back in the game."

-- Freshman cornerback Eddie Jackson sprained his ankle and did not return, Saban said.

"He could have gone back in the game and played but we were about ready to play John Fulton and try to get Maurice Smith some turns," Saban said. "So Bradley Sylve played today. We need to continue to improve on the back end. We've got to be more consistent in what we're doing." ...

No major injuries.
