Well I can see the tears falling all the way from Oregon on this punishment. What a waste of time to me. RTR!

One scholarship for three years is nothing. The 19 less official paid visits per year could hurt some.

The 18 month show-clause for Chip Kelly is a joke. He won't last at Philly but will make it at least two years.

The NCAA also reduced Oregon's official paid visits from 56 to 37 for the next three academic years, reduced its evaluation days for each of the next three seasons and banned the program from using recruiting services during the probation period.

What a waste of time and money. The NCAA reminds me of an old comedy group, The Keystone Cops. Why worry about cheating, a little probation never hurt anyone.

I did see that one of the penalties is an annual reduction in official visits allowed from 57 to 36.  That seems like the most severe punishment in the group.  I'd hate to know that we could only bring in 36 kids in for the royal paid trip schmoozing.  Not a lot of room for error in a 25 man signing class.
