Bama played a pretty soild game all around.

Pitching was good

Fielding was flawless

Hitting - They did something today that they were not able to do last year.  That is timely hitting.  In the 2nd inning, after Moore drew a walk Roberts doubled and Booth singled, result 2 runs scored.   In the 6th Bama drew 2 walks then delivered base hits by Baxter, Blanchard, Salem, and White.  Results 4 more runs.

Although Bama got fewer hits (7) than VMI (9), timely hitting produce more runs.
A hit with runners in scoring position mean more than a hit with 2 out and no one on.

  , Leewillie. You did a great job keeping us informed. I like hearing that we can hit the ball and move the runner over. This is what wins games but how good is VMI? This would also have some meaning. RTR!

Good way to start the season. Always good to get the sweep. The early signs show hope we have improved since last year.

We play Southern Miss at home on Tuesday before we head to Boca Raton, FL for a weekend series with Florida Atlantic. We were swept by Florida Atlantic last year.
