I figured Alabama would have an easy date with them. We have to much power to bring to the table for Jacksonville, anyway. RTR!

Bama looks like sh**. A 5 point lead at halftime against one of the worst teams in the country.
Ad in some 2S wisdom such as, "I don't think he was seeing the field (court) well" so people think you know all about it!

In all fairness to Bama and how the first half looked, the Refs were really letting them play. It looked like a Rugby match most of the half especially with the big guys down low. In the second half the Ref's whistle became more prevalent on the roughness of the play and Bama pulled away and won as they should.

These types of games are ugly to watch as a fan but the players have to learn to take in stride of what the Refs are calling and adjust to it and I think the young ones did an excellent job of this last night. I also think CAG scheduled some very physical teams for his pre-conference schedule this year which has been a blessing for maturing the Fresh/Soph players.

Another thing that I thought the non-conference games did this year was that most of those teams were very good 3 point shooting teams. Bama gained some very valuable experience as most of these games featured a lot of 3's going up and it really stretched the Bama defense. This taught the underclassmen a ton and that is one of the main reasons they aren't playing like Fresh/Soph players that we have seen at Bama in the past. Releford has stepped up his role of team leader and it has shown in the past 5 games.

I'm so hoping that Green is watching and learning about winning as a team player and to forget about personal stats. I know it means a lot to him to have the numbers for the next lexel of basketball but it could be very costly to the team in the long run. Now that Gueye is back on the floor to give some help in the middle, this could turn Mitchell and Green loose to provide some fireworks for us fans. Gueye looked as he should last night, out of shape and rusty with his ball handling but that will improve each game. Roll Tide!!

They did play much better in the 2nd half. I just wasn't seeing any real hustle from anyone in the first half. Jax seemed to get the ball down low at will. It may be as you said, Jamos, that the game was a bit of a Rugby match at first, which may have led to that. Jax is a lot more physical than I thought they would be and it's hard for me to believe they've only won 2 games. Bama does get stretched by physical teams, ie Georgetown. I was shocked and pleased to see Gueye in the game. Yep, he was rusty, but should get better each game as you said.

Anyway, a win is a win and when Green gets back on the floor, that will elevate Mitchell's play, and the 2 will be the tandem we're used to seeing. I hope they don't take Georgia Tech lightly. RTR!

That sounds like the final score from the Baylor vs. Washington game last night.
