Following Bob Costas’ NBC interview with Jerry Sandusky, CBS knew they needed a big exclusive to keep up. So they got former Penn State assistant coach Mike McQueary. For a good 24 seconds. Here is the CBS News transcript of McQueary’s “interview” with Armen Keteyian:

“When do you think you’ll be ready to talk,” Keteyian asked.

“The whole process has to play out,” McQueary replied. “I just don’t have anything else to say.”

“Describe your emotions right now.”

“All over the place, just kind of shaken.”

“Crazy?”

“Crazy,” McQueary replied.

“You said like what, Mike?”

“Like a snow globe.”

“Like a snow globe,” Keteyian asked.

“Yes sir.”

Like a snow globe should be a big part of the internet soon. Oh, and by the way – Good get, CBS!

McQueary claims he went to the police as well as report the child rape to his superior Joe Paterno. He also take to the AD and the person in charge of the campus police. If he went to the police a report should have been made. If there is not a report McQueary is not telling the truth. The Grand Jury report found Mcqueary to be a very credible witness. I think he is telling the truth. He is being treated like crap by the Penn State administration and fans because he did not look the other way and STFU.

Mike McQueary, key witness in Jerry Sandusky sex abuse case, changes story about shower incident

Mike McQueary is supposed to be the prosecution’s star witness.

His testimony is key in all three criminal cases stemming from the indictment of Jerry Sandusky.

His eyewitness account of the alleged rape of a young boy could be damning to Sandusky.

And grand jurors opted to believe him over former athletic director Tim Curley and former Vice President Gary Schultz, directly leading to charges of perjury and failure to report filed against the Penn State University officials.

But McQueary’s story is changing.

In an email obtained this week by The Patriot-News, McQueary provides more details about his role in the Sandusky child sex abuse scandal. The grand jury report states that he saw Sandusky sexually assault a young boy but never told law enforcement, which has made McQueary the subject of scathing criticism.

In the new e-mail, McQueary wrote: “I did stop it, not physically  ... but made sure it was stopped when I left that locker room.”

And then he wrote that he did tell police, not just Joe Paterno, Curley and Schultz.

“... I did have discussions with police and with the official at the university in charge of police .... no one can imagine my thoughts or wants to be in my shoes for those 30-45 seconds ... trust me.

“I am getting hammered for handling this the right way ... or what I thought at the time was right ... I had to make tough, impacting quick decisions.”

In July Paterno Passed On Home to His Wife for $1

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — Joe Paterno transferred full ownership of his house to his wife, Sue, for $1 in July, less than four months before a sexual abuse scandal engulfed his Penn State football program and the university.

Documents filed in Centre County, Pa., show that on July 21, Paterno’s house near campus was turned over to “Suzanne P. Paterno, trustee” for a dollar plus “love and affection.” The couple had previously held joint ownership of the house, which they bought in 1969 for $58,000.

According to documents filed with the county, the house’s fair-market value was listed at $594,484.40.

Some legal experts, in trying to gauge the legal exposure of the university and its top officials to lawsuits brought by suspected victims of the assistant, Jerry Sandusky, have theorized that Paterno could be a target of civil actions.

Lawrence A. Frolik, a law professor at the University of Pittsburgh who specializes in elder law, said that he had “never heard” of a husband selling his share of a house for $1 to his spouse for tax or government assistance purposes.

“I can’t see any tax advantages,” Frolik said. “If someone told me that, my reaction would be, ‘Are they hoping to shield assets in case if there’s personal liability?’ ” He added, “It sounds like an attempt to avoid personal liability in having assets in his wife’s name.”
