Class of 2017 receiver Henry Ruggs III holds offers from Alabama, Florida and 10 others
Ruggs didn't play football as a sophomore at Lee - choosing to focus on basketball - but then burst onto the scene in 2015 with more than 1,000 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns.

I see all these write-ups about recruits jumping or flipping or saying one thing and doing another. I wish one recruit could tell me the meaning of what the word Committed to a school means? Just one honest recruit! RTR!

Preacher, keep in mind that we're seeing only one side of this news:

1. When a student doesn't qualify academically, we move on.  The student may be recruited by others, and it shows up as a flip.

2. If it's an athlete we want, but have plenty of talent at that position (or other reason), we may offer a grayshirt.  With that, the athlete may move on, and it shows as a flip.

3. There are true flips, but many of those come within a week of the signing.  Those are the ones to concentrate on.

Very good points Chech.  And let's not forget that Bama has been the beneficiary of some very good players that flipped our way and had they  not done so we likely wouldn't have won the NC a time or two in the last few years...

Thanks, Chechem your explanation does shed some light on what happens behind the scenes. I certainly didn't know as much as I thought I did just looking at the numbers as Red or Black. RTR!
