Fascinating article.

Before the season, Ohio State was the overwhelming favorite to repeat as National Champs, becoming the first unanimous preseason number one in the AP Poll in history. It wasn't hard to see why.

The Buckeyes returned not one, not two, but three excellent quarterbacks. They returned four members from what was one of the best offensive lines in the country, anchored by a possible 1st round prospect at left tackle. They returned a Heisman candidate at running back, a quality tight end, an NFL prospect at wideout, and almost everybody of consequence on defense.

Just like at Florida, he seems to have lost control of the program. Players speaking out and bashing the coaches is unheard of.

Someone should tell Zeke Elliot that throwing your coach under the bus after a loss is not going to impress the NFL teams considering drafting him.  Teams will still take chances on talented players with character issues, but in recent years players flagged as character risks have dropped way down in the draft. 

It is fascinating to see history repeating itself.  An Urban Meyer team wins a championship, comes back the next year as favorites to repeat, and then after a loss the wheels fall off of the program.  It'll be interesting to see if he can recover or if this is the beginning of a downward spiral.

He, the RB needs to take a hard long look at Leonard Fournette and the character he has shown all year long.  1st he graciously donated his game jersey to be auctioned off to benefit the flooding victims in South Carolina. Next, he got totally shut down when Bama played LSU but instead of throwing Les Miles under the bus, he gave credit to the Bama defense... A dose of humility would do Elliot a lot of good IMO...

This should be no surprise. Although a great X and O coach, Urban seems to be loose in the discipline department. This would never happen under Saban's watch.
