Grant is a good guy but he did not get the job done. Bill Battle made the correct call to make a change. Now we need to go out and hire the best coach available. I have no idea who that may be.

I hate it for Grant because he does seem like a genuinely good guy and he's run a clean program here.  But, you've got to win and he just coudn't get over the hump for some reason.  Always close, but never able to move the program forward to the next level.

I have no ill will towards Grant and genuinely hope he lands somewhere and does well.  I also hope Battle is able to hire someone who will get us moving in the right direction so we don't have to repeat this in five years.

Exactly pmull, he is a good man but he didn't get the job done. From the expressions on Bill Battle's face for the past few weeks I would guess that he has a list of names all ready but he may have to wait until the season is over for some of them to ask for interviews.

Well, let's all man up and give credit to CBB for making a tough decision that some on this board didn't think he'd make.  I had my doubts (although I never completely gave up.)

Now on to the coaching search.  I don't see how the team could get it together enough to compete in the NIT.  But what do I know.

Coach Grant was a fine person, by all accounts.  As said above, it just didn't work out.
Don't be surprised if he finds success elsewhere.

CAG will have a job before the spring season is over. He is a great guy but he can't win in the SEC which is what you have to do in order to keep fans happy. Best of the Blessings to CAG. RTR!
