Around Campus / The Quad / Re: ALABAMA Football 2012 Roster

The link below contains infornmation on Bama players Robert Lester, Eddie Lacy and Adrain Hubbard. This is part of Bamaonline Trips series. There is information on many other players linked to this article. It is free (at least for now). Click here for linkOnly 95 carries for EL and 11 catches. He just scored 7 times but it was more than once when they pulled him out for MFBATR to get the score. BATR was the bull in short yardage so whether they were padding stats or not it was still the right call. But I can't remember the game being held up to get BATR on the field in a 3rd and goal or something-- CNS trusted EL much in the red zone as he did outside. I hope no one mentions the you-know-what word when talking about EL this summer. It was still a TD every 12 or 13 times he touched the ball. RTR for the EL patented spin move. Yes, that's one of those f-words that shall remain in the sanctuary of silence. The word (shhh) is among the most anticipated aspects of this year's team. I hope Eddie recovers FULLY from his injury and I hear the F-WORD post game September 1, 2012 as I did last year. Coach Saban stated, "Eddie's a FAST guy, an Explosive guy."--Post game, Sept. 3, 2011. All I recall about Eddie's play from The 2011 Capital One Bowl to The 2012 Allstate BCS Championship Game was FANTASTIC. Eddie did a portion of that while injured. He truly is a FUNNY and very likable teammate from all I have heard. I hope I do not offend anyone using these F-WORDS. Sincerely, A FAN of Eddie Lacy P.S. Just call me the FISH of the day for taking this hook, line, and sinker to the Fullest absurdity to talk about one of my FAVORITE FOOTBALLERS ! I'M FINISHED

I hope Coach Hank Crisp, the poster, can be resurrected. I do not believe the poster is dead. If he does not show back up on this board, consider this poster dead.I need to find a place where more married women keep up with Alabama football, anyway. Hank was an asset to this forum.

It is difficult to repeat. It has rarely been done. However, CNS has our team in position to challenge for championships every year. We will need some players to step up as leaders, stay hungry, avoid key injuries and get a few breaks along the way. I think we have as good a shot at winning next year as anyone. I would not bet against us.
Tough call. Here's a breakdown: Negative facts: We lose 7 starters on defense, including 3 DB's (both corners) and 3 LB's. The loss of Dre, Barron, Upshaw, and Hightower are especially big. On offense we lose Richardson, Vlahos, and relieable receivers Hanks, Maze (punt returner, too), & Smelley. We still have a problem with our kicking game. We need a reliable FG kicker for FG's 44-52 yards, a kickoff kicker who can kick it out of the endzone on kickoffs, and a punter who can kick it long when needed and kick it out-of-bounds deep when needed. Positives: We have a winning QB and 4 starters from the O-line returning. We have a proven RB in Lacy who can replace TR, plus Fowler as a backup. We lose all our proven WR's, but Norwood looked great agasinst LSU and will be a junior. Bell also looked okay against LSU. We have Lowery, Milliner, & Sunseri returning for the DB area along with 5 star Clinton-Dix. Mosely & DePriest return in the LB position. The key, in my mind is, can we replace 3 solid starters in the DB area, especially the most vital area, both corners. If we can replace both corners with excellent cover guys, we are halfway home to nother NC. Marshal Dillion, I think most townsfolk would think you hit a home run with this analysis.

Too all, I am glad you enjoy the notes. It is fun for me to do and it enables me to talk Bama football with a lot of Bama fans. I do wonder this, do the notes make you watch the game a little differently?
Simple answer is yes. I am a fan and not a coach so I am going to be bias with my favorites. When I read your notes I do not see you pushing favorite players. So in return I am willing to listen to you and learn something.

On game day I like 30 minutes by myself to dedicate a couple of songs to team. I read some articles this am and got clue for one song pick. Coach Saban likes Al Green. Danced by myself in my little fantasy world to Al Green - Let's stay together - YouTube blowing kisses to all the team and coaches. Extra kisses to my favorite players. Do not laugh at me. I then went out and spent some money shopping and had my hair styled for Alabama party we are attending tonight. Roll Tide!

I am not sure the Bama staff would tell Chris Carter what "big" plans they had for his son. For some reason, CC reminds me of Craig James reading this article. Maybe it is just me and dealing with parents.
Parental exaggerated bragging was my first thought when I read article. Duron needs to walk the walk and the fans will take care of crowning him. Then Cris Carter will not feel the need for "big" plans talk.

Wow. I feel sorry for her that she is more concerned with pacifying her Tigahs than supporting her sons. She seems extremely high maintainence just based on a short clip.
If his decision was truly made 2 years ago, have people considered the girlfriend is actually following him instead of him following her?? It's not about her. It's about where he wants to play. I wouldn't doubt the stepmom had more influence than the girlfriend or the mom.
I'm not confident he won't flip-flop between now and then but if he comes here I hope he has family support. Sucks for him.
