Terrie is partly correct. Players psych themselves up sometimes. There is an old story about Coach Bryant (CB) in one of the first books published after his death. Bear with me : , I can't recall the team they were playing (on the road), but it was in the eastern time zone. It was 1959 or 1960, and CB said he was disappointed in the crowd as his team warmed up. He said he kept looking around, and as the Alabama team went to the locker room it hit him: they were an hour early. Embarrassed, he said he didn't admit his mistake. He said he walked back and forth in the locker room trying to think of something to say. Finally he looked at his watch and it was game time, so he just said, "Let's get 'em." He said they nearly tore the door off. Bama won big; the press talked up his great psychological ploy. CB said it was 6 months before he admitted his mistake.

I guess I'm just dumb or something but if they have a tape of this - WHY are they doing nothing to aub?
My guess is this: The NCAA has 6 months after issuing a LOI (Letter of Inquiry) to submit the allegations of violations to the school. Six months, in NCAA time, seems to not be very long at all. I would think that if the NCAA's investigation takes them in multiple directions and/or states, then they would want to have the investigation pretty much wrapped up before the LOI is even sent. If they have to investigate a whole lot of angles, then they're probably going to need more time than 6 months to make sure they have all of the issues thoroughly investigated. So, my thinking is that they won't send out a LOI until they are convinced they are within 6 months of having their investigation mostly complete. Good post, good points.

I need to buy one. Pretty sure this is the one I am going to get. LinkDiscuss. I have a tractor with a center cut mower deck. I have many implements that run off the PTO (power take-off). Snow plow blade, tiller, post hole digger, plow. Spend some money for a tool you can use for other things besides mowing.I recommend Ford. I I've got a John Deere and need a replacement soon. Give us a report if you indeed get it. gilmer

I like the E-Credits. Pretty cool idea. I read more than I post (most of the time) and will definitely be using the applause Thanks Coach! Same Terrie from TS? Howdy.

Well, here I am at yet another Forum. Does that make me a forum wh*re? Anyway, my 2 cents, I thought all along it was Oregon. They just ramped up too fast and too good for something like this not to happen. JMHO.
:awkward man e-hug: Glad to see you here. I like it. Good call on Oregon. I'd ask Masoli about it, but he's skipped right out of Mississippi to San Francisco (without his graduate degree - what a surprise).

Looking for a cool upgrade to 1022 for my 12yr old. any suggestions?
I really like 1022; have several and sold one recently. It's a good Ruger, easy to clean, clip (safe), and inexpensive. Semiautomatic, but okay for kids under supervision. There are plenty of upgrades, but first I'd consider adding accessories. You can get different stocks, scope mounts, laser sights, additional and different magazines, and much more. If you upgrade within 22, consider some of the collectible European rifles. There are some great old Mausers and other hunting rifles that will become guns for life (collectibles) for him. If he can handle heavier guns, 30 cal... (opens all doors). I'd stay with a 22 cal for someone who is 12. Ammo is cheap, and there are plenty of options. If he wants to kill deer, that's different. Bottom line: I'd invest in a vintage Mauser. Go to a local gun show or shop and try some of them. The old Mausers are sweet. Don't forgot to let go of it after you buy it FOR HIM.

Wow what a grand lady. She sounds like a very exciting lady, ready to don a helmet and step on the field. RTR!
We own a lot of land and she likes to work out there. I have an old craftsman dump trailer she wants to haul around and I know she'll be trying to pull out stumps and crap with it. She still push mows the lawn and wouldnt take a rider if I wasnt insisting (because I want to play with it too.) She's welcome to come work in my yard too. Sounds like your original plan (which was a bargain price) is the best bet.
