If Bama loses tomorrow, I don't think Gaspard will be back next year.

I don't think GMG job was on the line in the regional. Is this your opinion or is it the unspoken rumor in Tuscaloosa?

I think we showed a lot of improvement this year. The end of the season was murders row with our schedule. Most people saw a big dip coming. We caught a hot team in UK in the single elimination SEC game. We are young with tons of talent coming back next year. CMG has also been recruiting very well and has another good class coming in. I thought his job was on solid ground. I feel sure it is since we are now in the regional finals needing only one more win to advance to the Super's.

We had two 9 inning complete game wins by our stating pitchers today. That is extremely rare. We only had 4 complete game starts all year until today. A tip of the ball cap to Bramlett and Guilbeau. They both pitched great games.

There was some discussion floating around last Tuesday night and it wasn't pro Gaspard and Grant. It was the opinion of why the University should spend so much money on a new stadium when they can't win enough games to even say there is a nice crowd at the games anymore. They were saying there are more fans sitting outside (free) the stadium than there are in the stadium (paying). I still feel feel if had Bama lost that 6-0 lead in the 9th inning yesterday and lost the game, Gaspard might very well have been on his last leg as coaching for Bama. This loss would have ended their post season play. Personally, I don't think that Gaspard will ever coach a game in the new stadium unless he can turn the program around, especially in post season play next season. If they can find a way to win tomorrow, it will sure help his situation by making it to a Super Regional. They were also saying CAG is on his last leg and things will have to improve this season, post season play, or he is toast.

If Gaspard survives this year, then he & Grant will both be on an extremely hot seat. I really don't expect Grant to survive.

I'm guessing the seat just warmed up. Kennesaw St. beat Bama 4-2 this afternoon.

Bama had 2 on and 2 out with a 2-2 count on the batter in the 9th. The ump made a strike 3 call on a ball that was nowhere near the strike zone.  Pull hair

The year did not end the way any of us hoped it would. We faded late in the SEC season when our schedule was rear loaded. Still we were ranked most of the year. We had some big wins. We made it to the 7th game of the regional. Less than 25 teams in the country made it as far as we did.

We have a lot coming back. We will get hurt by juniors leaving that get drafted. I would love to see Ben Moore, Wass, Turnbull and Kamplain come back but I doubt that happens. We have another good recruiting class coming in. I expect us to be better again next year.

I think CMG is safe. He has us headed in the right direction. You guys need to stay off his azz.

I actually agree with you that he should stay. I think he is bringing in too much talent not to give him another year. It was indeed, though, a disappointing end to the season.
