They play as solid and disciplined a game of football as I've seen. They do nothing flashy, and they always have the better talent, but that talent doesn't make the big mistakes again and again. They are focused, driven and confident. Even some of the guys like Sunseri play above their "on paper" abilities.

We have recruited near that level. Not only do our players lack fundamental play season after season, but many of them appear to get WORSE as the year winds on. That not only gets you a rep with NFL scouts but also recruits as well, who keep track of such things. They know Bama will push them. I don't think we can demonstrate the same. It will certainly effect recruiting after this season...regardless of how many car salesmen we have on our staff.

If you believe in such things, then what is happening at the Barn is karma, i.e. the Universe is paying them back for all the cheating they've done over the years especially with Cam.  Considering how much they've gotten away with, this dose of karma could last a while.

If you don't believe in such, then this is just plain ole bad coaching.

In Chiz's entire HC career he has made two good decision. No. 1 he hired Gus Malzahn. The barn would not have won 8 games in Chiz's 1st and 3rd year without Malzahn. I think he did more head coaching in three yrs at the barn than Chiz did. No. 2 he bought Scam and Malzahn coached them to a fluke championship. Without Malzahn the entire team looks in total disarray just like the defense has all 4 yrs.

I would like for the barn to keep Chiz but the heat is turned up pretty high. I don't think he will be back next year unless he wins some important games and I don't see that happening. This barn team is awful.
