Many people don't understand the importance of team chemistry in a season.  I know all the successful teams I have been around have had good chemistry.  What I see from Bama up to this point is great team chemistry.  The best example I can give is when one RB makes a TD, the first to greet him on the sideline is the other RB's.  Do you see the same?

I agree HSC. May have been the experience of surviving the April storm and working together helping clean up Tuscaloosa. They seem to have a special chemistry.

Yes I have. I've also seen how protective the more senior players are of the
younger ones. We've seen examples of this on a number of occasions.
I agree with everyone that this is a very special team in a lot of respects.

Would and example be like when DK put his arm around, I think JF and got him away from CNS>

The players do seem to support one another.  But it's easy to be cheerful and supportive when you win.

I guess the real test will be when they have failure, either by getting behind in a big game or by losing.  Hopefully we won't see the loss.  And I hope they aren't behind any more this year.  Smiley

Check this thread. We were just talking about the OL helping each other. This team is not letting any distractions (#1 vs. #3) get in the way. I hope the Heisman chatter doesn't interfere. Also, I've read about 5 times where Barrett Jones was complimenting his teammates while the press was trying to get a story on just him.

Yeah. They seem to get the offending player away from CNS as quickly
as possible. I know I wouldn't want to be on the other end of CNS's rants.

If you are talking about Fowler, what kind of beef would he have? I missed that. Huh?

#10 Dre did good. Fulton can't afford to be running his mouth.

It is more visible to watch the defense communicate with each other then it is with the offense but what I've seen so far this year the team chemistry is the best I've seen in some time, maybe the best ever. It's not just one or two players trying to be the leaders, it's all of them trying to help the other when they are on the field.

This is very rare and it's really something to watch.

Team chemistry is so important. This team has the "it" factor. They seem to take care of one another.

I can't remember where I saw/heard this, but a couple of weeks ago I found out about CNS talking about the leadership people that he has come out and talk to the team before fall camp.  The players all took some kind of survey, and one of the questions on the survey was something like, "What matters most to you as a member of this team?"  He said that the unanimous answer was "My teammates' opinion of me."

I think Hank is onto something. With all the distractions (not trying to minimize anything) this team still managed to have great off season training and conditioning. The common shared experience made them much closer and it is showing on the field.
