That is true. Watched a documentary on sink holes in Florida the other night. The state is disappearing into limestone caverns.
IDK, I've been in those caverns, and I didn't see Florida.

You weren't there long enough.

Ole Jamos must have hit a lucky day yesterday and didn't take advantage ot it, I wish I had bought me a lottery ticket when I did my picks for the pickem contest. I only did my picks for yesterday's games and now I wish I had done them all now after seeing the results yesterday.

Have a good day everyone and prayers for everyone. Pray Cheesy

Even our cast-off QBs are most-valuable players!  Philip Ely led Toledo to a big win (for them) last night.  Woot.

Meanwhile, it's raining here.  I went into the mountains yesterday, but it was so foggy that I couldn't even see the deer standing in the road.

Almost Christmas, and it's 70 degrees.  I think I like it!

Jamos and CP still atop the picks.  2, well ...

Yeah, 2Stater's picks =

It's been raining about 36 hours straight, here, with no relief in sight. Luckily, most of the rain has been light rain, but everything is still soaked.

It's the rain!  The rain!

Yeah, Jamos, LF and I are in Virginia.  We're watching closely.  Looks like beautiful Holly Springs (and its antebellum homes) got hit, as did Abbeville.  Abbeville is where our friends live.  That town was hit 3 times in 5 years by tornadoes.  They seem to be a magnet!

Looks like a big cell is hitting Oxford now.  Our phones are blasting warnings.  Glad we're safely 800 miles away.

Yes and I am too. I saw one picture of some Holly Springs damage but it was of some trees alongside the highway and not of any dwellings.

Thanks, guys.
Our neighbor reported that the tornado sirens were blaring for an hour, but our houses are okay.

A 7-year-old boy was killed in Holly Springs (30 miles north of Oxford), and 2 more killed in the delta.  Likely more fatalities before the night ends.  Horrible night for many folks.

Thanks, Preacher.

Hope everyone is okay this morning.  The storms hit Alabama overnight, and now we're getting heavy rain in Virginia.  Crazy night of storms; worst since April 2014.

Merry Christmas Eve.

Morning Chech. Coffee

I'm glad for all of the folks traveling today in our part of the country that the storm has moved out. Hopefully it has lost it's muscle and will only be a rain event for the rest of it's journey across the country.

It's so hard to believe the number of fatalities in Mississippi yesterday. I happened to be watching the weather channel when it first started near Clarksdale and watched as it traveled all that distance across Mississippi on the ground. It's unbelievable the fatality rate wasn't much much higher than it was.  Pray Sad

Our great grandaughter will be arriving today from Wichita Falls, Texas and she just turned one year old so our Christmas will be much livelier than it usually.

Prayers for all of the storm victims and all of those in need. Pray
