This is really frustrating. This guy was a solid everyday player for 10-12 years, but the last 5 have been injuries every year.

It's a meniscus tear, so he can be back in a few days after surgery. The problem is this stuff affecting his head and making him tentative in his playing.

I think Chipper is done, because he has such a great player, but I notice his hustle to 1st base is just not as fast as he use to be. I know he is older but that is what I am saying, it's time to lay it down. RTR!

Yeah, I have to think this is his last year. Plus, he gets paid something like $15 mil a year. That's money we can use to go and get a high level free agent or keep a guy they already have.

I didn't subscribe to this for a long time, but I think I have to agree with CC on this one. As much as I appreciate Chipper for all he has done, he needs to hang it up. Free up a spot to bring up some fresh talent and see what this lineup can do.

I loved watching Chipper play. I think he knows that he is about finished. I hope he can finish the year and retire. I hope the Braves invite him to be a member of their staff - he would be a great coach.

Chipper is filthy rich and loves to hunt and fish. I don't think we'll see him working for the Braves. Maybe if he gets bored, he works in some capacity.
