The second-ranked Alabama women's golf team has completed its second round and has extended its lead in the NCAA Championships in Franklin, Tenn.

The Crimson Tide shot a 3-under-par 285 today, giving it a two-day total of 5-under-par 571.
The four-day, 72-hole tournament ends Friday.
Of the teams that also are finished for the day, second-ranked UCLA is the Tide's closest competitor. The defending champion was 2-over today and is 6-over for the tournament. The Bruins trail Alabama by 11 shots. South Carolina is another shot back. Third-ranked USC, which shot even par today, is 14 shots behind the Tide.
Duke, Arizona State and Virginia are competing this afternoon for second place.
Senior Brooke Pancake led Alabama for the second consecutive day. She shot a 2-under-par 70 to go with her 68 on Tuesday and stands at 6-under par overall.
