I am a rural Alabamian and was brought up in an all white town with racist views.  I generalized I guess and was wrong I suppose.  I apologize.  

My views changed a lot during the years I lived in Atlanta (about 15 years).

But I have always been a "hick."

And I am leaving the forum for the rest of the day while I am still ahead.  It's amazing what being on that forum thread and not sleeping well afterwards has done to my state of mind.  I am rattling on like an idiot.

That's why I "retired" from TS.  It all became too, too much.

And - though I'm sorely tempted - I shan't touch the last sentence of your post.  I'm nice now.

....Jody came here to intentionally start a fight with SS, using the race card, knowing Smith's long forgotten comments would be indefensible. He got the attention he obviously craves (or he would be posting on a USCe board) and is now the big hero to the WA malcontents.

My apologies for being way off base. It certainly was none of my business, nor was I a part of it, until you hauled it out in an open forum. So for the record, so myself and others can better understand, how many years ago was the racial comment incident? And if you don't mind helping out, explain why you chose to wait until SS was made a moderator on an upstart message board, to open or re-open these issues? TIA
