When Malcolm Smith suffered a torn pectoral muscle at San Francisco's training camp on Saturday, Ray-Ray Armstrong finished the practice at weakside linebacker with the 49ers' first-team defense. At Monday's practice, though, Alabama rookie Reuben Foster took the first-team snaps at weakside linebacker for the first time.
