Caleb, the teen that was injured, is the boyfriend of my grandaughter. His leg was severed just below the knee and they are trying drastically to save his knee but he has been running a very high temp and they haven't been able to do much surgically.

It was a typical teenage thing to do and almost cost him his life. My grandaughter and her friends had been able to visit him each day until yesterday, he has weakened very much and until they can break the temp everything is on hold with him.

Your thoughts and prayers would be greatly appreciated.

That is horrible.  The same thing happened to a teen around here several months ago.

Father as we come to you to call out to you for our friend. He is in need of you Lord and your healing hand. We pray that this draws him closer to you and we also pray for those hands that work so deliberately to save this young man. Lord please be with his family has they go through this tragedy and keep them strong. This we ask in the Name of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus the Christ. RTR!

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Caleb was able to have a surgery yesterday but it didn't go as the doctors had wanted, they are trying very hard to be able to save his knee on the injured leg for prosthetic purposes. There is another surgery scheduled for Monday.

As we discussed Saturday, I really feel bad for this kid, your granddaughter, and his family. Prayers to all.  Pray

I have an update of Caleb's condition and it is good news. The doctors did another surgery today and said that they would be able to save his knee which will make his walking abilities much better. Saving his knee was the goal of the doctors because he will have much more mobility now with his new leg.

Thanks again to all of you for your thoughts and prayers.

I hopped a freight train when I was 17.   The trick is, you climb on it WHEN IT'S STOPPED

I almost was one of the casualty figures in high school, I was caught in the middle of a long tressle with a train coming at a high rate of speed. There was no way to tell that a train was coming until it rounded the bend which was about a half mile away. I made it to the end of the tressle and jumped as the train was very close to me but my friends dog that was with me, we never found. I never went out on that tressle again.

It's very hard to run on a train tressle.
