The Ten Commandments - A New and Improved Edition?

Last year was the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible, renown for its beautiful language and for expressions that have stayed in our hearts. Why simplify such a powerful book?

I'm also against the new style of hymns that all sound alike to me. 

I definitely agree on the hymns front OT. While I have nothing against the KJV, there is also the Geneva Bible, which was the Bible translated and used by the early Reformers like John Knox, John Calvin, and William Tyndale. For more on the Geneva Bible:

Thou Shall not, to me means more in strength than simply a do not.
Go up to a teen today and say do not curse so much. Well I bet you don't get much strength out of those words. RTR!

I agree with you both. I love the Geneva Bible.  I am though a Preacher who lives from the KJV. "Just As I Am" got me Saved and my family before me, I think it is just as powerful today as ever before. God Bless!
