If this is taxable income we are now talking around 900k or 50k a year. Negotiating this number "after the fact" may be cheaper for the state than setting a price up front. Up front, I would want 3 times my annual income (gross), payable monthly to my family. I would also need the same health benefits and any other perks, provided to a state senator. Also a clause needs to read something to the affect of, "if I die, payment must be made in its entirety for time served and time remaining". This would be negotiable but I would start by asking a 30% differential increase for a Maximum Security facility, 15 % increase for a minimum security facility, and no increase for a federal "white collar" prison. Further, the state must wave any restrictions on cigar smoking or laptop/broadband.

A guy around here in SC tricked the dept of AG out of about 5 mil for farming subsidies, etc. got convicted, sent to a tennis court prison for 4 yrs, got out, still had the money.

My childhood friend, Larry, did 3 tours in Nam, retired as SGt Major of the 82nd AB, and had collected a LOT of weapons (legal and not so legal), wife got to jumping fence wanted divorce, called ATF on him, he went to a min security prison for 3 yrs, and told me it was the best thing ever happened to him...he quit drinking and smoking, lost 50 lbs and a b*tch of an ex wife, and saved a bunch of money while incarcerated..got out bought a chert pit, and made millions selling fill dirt to the state of ALA.

SO my answer is, I'd do 3 aybe if it was in a min sec place..and not with Big Bubba as my roomie.
