You can't tell in this photo, but other photos showed unopened cans of beer and soda.  That could have killed somebody!

In the era of Alabama football between Stallings and Saban, there were SEVERAL occasions that Alabama fans through items onto the field - generally cups and water bottles.  98% of it was from the Greek portion of the student section.

The SEC handed down punishments to the University of Tennessee after fans threw debris onto the field in the final minutes of the Vols’ loss to Ole Miss. The school incurs a hefty fine, and must meet other requirements in order to avoid stricter discipline. In an official statement, the SEC announced that Tennessee will be fined $250,000 for the incident and will be required to “use all available resources” to identify the individuals who were throwing debris onto the field. Those people will be banned from attending Tennessee sporting events for the rest of the 2021-22 calendar.

The university will also be required to review its policies on “game management and alcohol availability” and present that review to the league offices. The SEC will not suspend alcohol sales at Tennessee sporting events, for now, but can do so if the school fails to meet the requirements laid out for them by the conference.

Yes sir Chechem especially throwing golf balls at a coach or players that is insane. I would say only 50 thousand fans should be allowed in the stadium. College sports is gonna be ruined. RTR!

Just ban the students.  That'd stop most of it. 
And maybe, just maybe, stop selling beer at the games in Knoxville.

Beer/alcohol sales are not allowed in SEC stadiums. It does not mean students can't sneak alcohol in. It is harder to sneak it in with clear plastic bag policies and metal detectors.
