Speaking of lunch, I sat out in the sunshine to eat lunch and look at the mountain across the street with my scope.

My scope with the mountain in the distance.  It's aimed at the goat, and taken through that tree, because I knew if I moved the scope I'd never find it again:

Here is a billy Mountain Goat.  It's more than a mile away:

Monday May 25th (continued):

BIG DAY FOR MOOSE!  I saw 7 today.  I think they're following me.  In a related story, a guy was mauled by a bear today just outside YNP Big Sky, MT).  He was biking.

Anyhow, I saw moose right next door (100 yards from my cabin) and in the park.

Right next door to me!

"Ghosting" caused by capturing still pics from a video.

Not a moose.  Love the silhouette!

There are times I've felt like doing the same. For instance, Sunday, we drove up Paris Mountain, which is just one hairpin curve after another. We came up on a biker who could care less that we were behind him, and never pulled over to let us by. I gave him a close enough call that he'll think about doing it the next time.

Great pics, BTW. The bison reflection in the water is awesome!

That reflecting Bison pic is great.

2, give the cyclist the room they need.  Yes, it is rude of them to not ride on the white line on the right side of the road but you don't want to get in any trouble for not giving him enough room.  You certainly don't want to cause him/her to be injured...I hope...

NALT, there was no bike lane and we were behind him for about 10 minutes. He was just flat out being a jerk.

...

Watching it again, it's obvious that I was still moving while taking the video.  Rule is, you can drive through the park but no stopping.  My lawyer should be able to get me off, should I get arrested by park police.

Yesterday I came upon a car stopped in the middle of the road.  "What are you guys, bison??"  Finally they moved over and I passed them.  They were intent on taking pics of a distant moose.

I'm not sure about up there in SC but here in Alabama cyclists are "entitled" to 3' of space.  The real jerks will ride in the middle of the lane but most will try to stay close to the white line on the side. I have, in the past, almost hit by a truck that was traveling at least 65 mph and I was ON the white line  on a 4-lane highway.  Angry

Was there a bison involved?

I think the bison have more sense, Chech.

NALT, he was taking up 1/3 of the lane. Like I said, he was just purposely being a jerk.

Yeah, there is no call for taking up that much of the roadway. That is an example of where I wish car drivers could use dash-cam video and submit it to the police and they would ticket them.  Won't happen though...

To try and describe your pics is not possible. I remember when I was in the Army I seen sights from different things. Nature is so beautiful it is pitiful that one day all this beauty must end. RTR!
