Herb Jones got 17 rebounds with 5 of them being offensive. We also had 3 assists, 2 blocks and 1 steal to go along with his 6 points. All playing with one hand. His two one-handed free throws late in the game were clutch.

Lewis had 27 and Shack had 26. Shack is going to be fun to watch over the next few years.

Smith played well getting 6 rebounds with 4 of them on the offensive end. He scored 10 points going 6-7 at the line.

A very good Quadrant 1 win.

Looking at Bama's tourney chances:

Current record:  14-11
SEC record:  6-6
NET ranking:  36th

Remaining schedule:

vs Texas A&M
@ Ole Miss
@ Miss St
vs USCe
vs Vandy
@ Mizzou

I believe we will be favored in all those games other than in Starkville.  At worst we should go 4-2 (I know anything can happen with this young team and we may go 1-5), and end the season 19-13 (10-8) with a NET ranking in the low to mid 30s.  I don't see how we get left out of the dance if it plays out like that.

The road games are always tough and USCe is playing good BB right now, so we could very well go 1-5. However, if we can get a healthy Herb Jones back, no telling what might happen. Heck, look what we did to LSU with him playing with one hand.

I truly think the way both of the above do. It is so easy for this team to go 1-5. The Jeckel and Hyde thing, but if they play as well or better with Herb they can run the table. I doubt it but I would love to see them run the table and hush some of the negativity going on. RTR!

I hope we are a new team now.  But I'm hesitant to buckle up again...

If they run the table I might buckle up for the SEC tourney.

If they run the table, I'm not sure that Oats would go all out for the SEC Tourney.  At some point, the legs are going to need some rest.  Some of the guys (Kira especially) are having to play almost 40 minutes a game.

I sure don't see us running the table nor going to the NIT. RTR!

NOPE!  We need them to be healthy in case we need them to step up and kick a field goal or something...
