"Cowboy" Joe West is behind the plate tonight in Atlanta.  He just ejected the Padres manager.  The manager turned around and threw his hat.  Joe sauntered over, picked it up and gingerly dusted it off, and then handed it to him while the manager was still about 18" away yelling in his face the entire time.  It was pretty humorous.

Joe West will be a hall of fame man someday. He has always been fun to watch. I certainly like seeing the Braves upfront for a while but I hope they can hold it up there. RTR!

I can't stand the sports talking heads' pious attitudes, especially Andy North. They are all over Phil for hitting that putt while still rolling. They are the same ones who say that golf has rules, so use them to your advantage. Bunch of da*n hypocrites.

I didn't understand the outrage either.  He was frustrated and didn't care about the penalty.  It's not like he tried to sign a falsified scorecard or cheat in some other way.

I thought it was pretty comical.  He and Beef (Andrew Johnston his playing partner for the day) had had enough and were laughing about it walking off the green.

Phil should have been disqualified.  He broke a rule on purpose, and during the US Open.  Clearly he'd decided that his chance at winning was over, so help him out the door.

Good finish in the College World Series game.  Miss State beat Washington in the bottom of the 9th: 1-0.

Brooks Koepka is the back to back winner of the US Open. Kudos to him. Shinnecock Hills crushed most of the field, but to finish +1 at that venue is almost super-human. He deserved it.

I had a pretty good golf-ball day too. Shot an 81 with a 37 on the back nine. Highlight of the day was a holed out approach shot for an eagle on the 16th hole.

One of our gang here visited Vegas on the way to Yellowstone. He put bets on 5 players, including both Koepka and Fleetwood. He won several hundred bucks, and paid for our dinner last night.
