Coach Daboll just didn't quite seem to fit at Bama, so I'm not surprised he took off.  Other than the disruption and bad timing (vs. recruiting), I don't see this as a huge loss.

Somehow, I don't see CJMc doing an encore as our OC.  The players seem to like Locksley but if he's such a good O coach, why didn't he get the job a year ago??

The pool of available and attractive candidates changes from year to year.  CNS is never caught off guard by coaching departures so I imagine he'll find somebody good pretty soon.

As if Saban doesn't have enough on his plate with recruiting, now he'll need to hire two coordinators probably before Spring practice.  At least there's no shortage of coaches wanting to coach (and learn) at the best.   Grin

Hugh Freeze was in the Mal Moore Building today, but it looks like it was more of an advisement meeting than an interview.

He and Saban do socialize outside of football as well.
