This Clemson - Bama game will be a little different. The last two years we met in the finals with one week to prepare. This game both teams should be healthy and have a month to prepare.

By the way, that 58% is total crapola!  They also said we had a 28% chance of getting in.  The idea that they can accurately calculate the odds for something so complex with as many variables as a college football game is almost as amusing as the weather guessers saying that there is a 58% chance of rain on game day.

Now if they were real scientists, they would know it is 100% Bama by 98.

BTW, the forecast for Jan 1, 2018 in New Orleans is sunny and 63.  It'll prolly snow!

I know, X.  But thought it'd be fun to see if weather forecasters actually made long-range forecasts a month in advance.  They can't even forecast accurately a week ahead!

You young guys don't remember, but Alabama played in New Orleans when it snowed.  Coach Bryant suspended Namath before the game.

Regardless of who beats whom in this year's CFPlayoffs, 3 out of the 4 head coaches in the CFP have Alabama national championship rings after winning the NC as either a player (Dabo) or a coach (Coach Saban and Coach Smart). 

How is that for representing?   Cool

That's what Dabo said about the game, the teams would have more time to prepare. He didn't seem pleased with it.

Here are Vegas Odds of winning the Natty:

Alabama   11/5
Clemson   12/5
Oklahoma   13/5
Georgia   15/4

This means that a $500 bet for Bama wins $1100.  A $400 bet for GA wins $1500.

From top to bottom, the odds are pretty close, much closer than in past years' playoffs.  Vegas thinks that any of these 4 teams could win it all.
