I hope the fans treat Dabo with class when he returns for the honoring of the 1992 National Champions.

Applause E-Cred I do also. He played his heart out when he was playing and once a Bama family member always in my book most times.  Cheesy, RTR!

I am going to the game tomorrow and looking forward to the 92 team being honored. I have very fond memories of that championship season. I will cheer as loud for Dabo as I will for all the team members. I hope our fans show class and appreciate what Dabo did for our program and how well he represents us even as the HC at Clemson.

I hope so too, pmull. I think it would be an embarrassment for our fans to boo him.

Hopefully we have classy fans who will clap for him. He was part of a wonderful team at Bama and deserves respect.

Per some of the "fans" over on Tigernet they think this was just a scouting trip for Dabo looking for his next coaching job.  Butt-hurt fans are, well, butt-hurt...

I was at the game. Dabo got a very classy welcome. The only one bigger was for Coach Stallings. I was disappointed they did not introduce all members of the team. I guess it would take too long.

The Clemson coaching staff has deeper roots to Bama than I knew about.

Quote
The extent to which Swinney, head coach of the Clemson Tigers, has relied on ties that date to his playing days with the Crimson Tide in building his Tigers’ program showed in the number of members of that UA title team he brought with him.

Swinney was accompanied by Woody McCorvey (wide receivers coach at Alabama in 1992, associate athletics director for football administration at Clemson), Danny Pearman (offensive tackles coach and special teams coordinator at UA, assistant head coach, tight ends coach and special teams coordinator at Clemson), Thad Turnipseed (sophomore linebacker at UA, director of recruiting and external affairs at Clemson), Lemanski Hall (junior linebacker at UA, senior defensive analyst at Clemson) and Mickey Conn (sophomore cornerback at UA, safeties coach at Clemson).

Yep, he brought his whole staff over so they could see what their new facilities look like when they take over. Wink
