Hey guys, sorry I missed discussion of the butt whippin' the boys put on Vandy. Too much work to do today. But I enjoyed seeing the updates on my phone. That was about as complete a game as I have seen us put together in a while. And CNS was smiling at the end.

Sorry you couldn't join us, buddy.
Indeed, that was a classic Alabama domination.

Vandy was ranked #1 in the nation in defense before this game:

Total domination. In fact, I don't remember ever seeing Bama play a more complete game. And it may be Vandy, but this was against a pretty solid team.

Alabama 42  Notre Dame 14  National Championship Game   01/2013
Alabama 66  Cal 0     1973
Alabama 77  Va Tech 3   1973

Just a few hints.

I just got home from watching the game with a group of alums up in Gainesville.  So I'm late to the CRS party.  Nevertheless... I hereby repent, confess, grovel and apologize for doubting how this Bama team would play in this game.  I was longing to see a complete performance and...well that's what we got.

MD -- I'd add the playoff game vs. Mich St to your list.  Today's game may be the most dominating performance since that one.

Or the Mich St Bowl game before that.   Laughing

I watched three of those, and was at the 2008 Auburn game. This was different. Total control on both sides of the ball, very few mistakes, no costly penalties, few negative plays.

I was at the 1973 games.  The win against VT (VPI then) was the most dominating game I'd ever seen.  We were ahead by 7 TDs at halftime.  We ran the same play, and no passes, the entire second half.  VPI was inept.  Friend of mine on the team, who was a RB, played on the line during the second half.

Difference was, nobody expected anything out of VPI.  There were people who predicted a competitive game vs Vandy.  BTW, they were wrong!

I would add the BCSNCG game of 2012 vs. LSU to the games where Bama played a dominating complete game.  LSU never crossed the 50 yard line...  Applause E-Cred
