If Bama and UK both hit all their free throws then the score would have been 75 all.  The other big factor was the unforced turnovers that led to UK's points.  Has anyone else notice how many time JT turns the ball over when the double team comes.  His team mates don't always help him out.  One of the big differences I see was the pace at which UK players mover the ball around and their off the ball movement.

Why does Coach Johnson not see this if we do and fix it? RTR!

No doubt he sees it since EVERYONE else sees it. I think it's a matter of priorities and having limited practice time to do everything. CAJ inherited a program that was a disaster. Lack of talent, poor fundamentals like passing the ball, rebounding, FT shooting, movement on the court, perimeter shooting, court positioning, etc., lack of energy & enthusiasm (Grant was like a dead fish), & so on. CAJ has been working at a feverish pace to sell the program, recruit talent, and improve team performance. Improvements have been seen in rebounding, floor movement, & defense. Perimeter shooting, overall shooting, and FT shooting have been lousy & movement could be better. The Tide is dead last in the SEC in FT shooting, 11th in FG%, and 13th in 3 point shooting. That is a toxic mix and shows we need more shooters in the worst way.

We forget this team has overachieved the last two years. CAJ hasn't had to much work with in terms of elite talent.  Ingram and Key are the two exceptions, but they're still a little raw. With the core of this team coming back and some truly elite players, and scorers at that, coming in next year we should the program leap forward to being able to knock off teams like Kentucky and be dangerous in the tournament. CAJ is doing well. It just takes time to build up depth and correct the problems the previous coach left.

Hot off the presses, it's:

THE GOOD

Tide shot 20/37 2 pointers, FG's 54%
Key 8/13  21 points
Ingram 5/7 12 points, 8 rebounds, took no 3 pointers but drove the basket
Olaniyan 10 rebounds
Tide shot 56% 2nd half
15,383 attendance

THE BAD

Davis 1/6, 0/4 3 pointers
UK 14 points off turnovers, Tide 8
Johnson 0/5, 0 points
Bench points: UK 16 Tide 7
Turnovers: Tide 16, UK 12

AND THE UGLY

Tide 9/26 FT's, 34.6%
3/14 3 pointers, 21.4%
