Back to work on Day 2 of the national championship game preparation took Alabama indoors Wednesday afternoon. It was a bit chilly in Tuscaloosa, so that's where a roof comes in handy.

A few quick notes from what we saw:

-- The good news for Alabama is there was relatively little news. No new injuries, just going through a typical Tuesday practice on a Wednesday.

-- Watching Jalen Hurts for a little bit, he was off on some of his early passes. The freshman shook his head at one point, turned around and delivered a hard strike across the middle. An improved performance from the Peach Bowl will be crucial Monday night.

I really hope his accuracy is better for the Natty. Do not want any shaking of the head. Go get 'em, Jalen!

Let's face it, if Jalen doesn't have a good night passing the ball, we're toast.

Uh.........no. We have a great defense and 3 solid running backs, we are far from dead. Plus, don't forget the jet sweep or Stewart off right tackle.

I think Jalen needs to settle down in the first couple of series and then play his game and we will be ok. Even if we get down a couple of scores we have to keep pushing till we get it right just win this game one play at a time. I really believe the winner of this game will do it one snap at a time having that loss of memory about the last play. RTR!

Best thing that can happen to a team mentally is what happened: won but didn't play well.
We know what we need to do, need to improve in all areas, and need to execute.
These guys want to play a perfect game, and now they are working toward that.
Jalen will be fine.  Sark is simplifying the offense for him so he can PLAY FOOTBALL.
We're good.

I hope we dominate Clemson in all phases of the game to the point that there is absolutely no doubt which team is the better one.  Over on Tigernet those idiots are so convinced that we have not played any offenses that are even nearly as good as theirs and that our defense is really not that good to begin with.  They also feel that their defense is so far superior to our offense that there is hardly a chance that Bama wins...

I could see why they think that.

Yeah, I think we are every bit as motivated as they are, maybe more. Giving up that 40 points and all those yards sticks in the craw of the D.

The other day on ESPN, Finebaum was being interviewed about that subject. He made the Freudian slip that "Alabama gave up 550 yds and 40 points in last year's LOSS to Clemson", before correcting himself.

I really think that is the mindset of the defense, and hopefully, we see a different result from them.

The O can't be happy with their performance Saturday, so I look for them to be much improved Monday as well.

I'm hoping Clemson left everything on the field with OSU. It's difficult to have back-to-back games where you play nearly flawlessly and I don't think Clemson can do that. I like our chances.

I kind of feel like Clemson might have somewhat of a let down game after the way they did OSU.  I hope that's the case...

It didn't help that the mistakes on O put the offense behind the chains.  Also, The lack of pass blocking was also a factor.
