Quote
“This is the game we’ve been wanting to play for the last year,” Clemson linebacker Ben Boulware said. “We want our revenge. We want our redemption.”

Next Monday in Tampa, Alabama and Clemson will meet in college football’s first national championship game rematch. The schools ended last season 1-2, they started this season 1-2 and now they’re about to end another one 1-2.

Revenge rematches are an unnerving thing if you were the first winner. Remember what we did to LSU. But why should Clemson be more steamed up than Bama for a win?

Clemson will be ready, but with the dull offense from last night what can they be ready for other than BO left and up the middle and right? BTW can somebody tell me who else besides Damien is running the ball behind BO? My other question is can Jalen throw the ball better than he showed last night? Just asking humbly so please don't get upset with me. RTR!

And who's our backup quarterback? Have they all left town?

Bateman is with the team until the end of the year. Ardarius Stewart has been taking reps in practice, as well.

There's plenty of reason to be worried about the Bama O after last night.  The game plan was ultra plain vanilla by design.  And it worked well enough to win the game which at this point is all that matters (i.e. style points not needed.)

But was the game plan intentionally plain, or is that the best Jalen can do? Is that all he can be trusted to do?  If the later, we in a heap o' trouble.  If this was a tactic to 'set up' Clemson for the NC game, then we gotta see a very different Jalen next week.

Also, our offensive play design was awful.  Nothing that confused the Wash D at all.

Whatever, it doesn't leave me feeling confident...and I hope I have to eat every word of his post!!!

... but after he couldn't find a hole to run through last night, he's been relegated to WR.

No kidding. If he had hit the hole he was supposed to, he'd still be running.

Clemson looked better in their playoff game than Bama did.  They have a more versatile QB than Washington does.  Also their DL could give, if they play the way they did last game, the interior line problems.   Bama will have to throw the ball better.

It will be important for the Bama offense to sustain some drives to help keep the defense fresh.

Not getting 7 or 8 offensive penalties would be nice. Hopefully, Sarkisian will be doing better practice sessions for the game than Kiffin did leading up to the Washington game.  I still think we got this with any distractions gone.

Finebaum said there were a lot of bad feelings toward Kirby because they thought he had not properly prepared the D for the game due to his Georgia hire.
