I agree.

Alabama has won four national championships in the past six seasons, sustaining unparalleled excellence during an era in which NCAA rules make dynasties virtually impossible to keep going. It's easily the best stretch in Alabama's history, but because humans have a tendency to idealize the past, some people incorrectly think Bear Bryant's run in the '60s and '70s was better than what Nick Saban is doing now.

I wouldn't disagree with Reece either, but I remember those teams in 61, 64 & 65.  If Mike Fracchia hadn't gotten injured in '62 we'd have been NC that year too.  Only lost one game by one point!!

I was too young to know and enjoy how good we were in the early 60's. The 70's were a great time to be a Bama fan. Dominate teams playing for championships almost every year. It is very difficult to compare different eras but what we are doing now might even be better.

Bryant and Saban have a lot in common. They both are tireless recruiters, use the rules to their advantage, adapt/change with the times and out work the competition.We are very fortunate both of these great coaches landed in Tuscaloosa.
