Amazing. I feel for the guy and his 4 kids.

Quote
Kirk Herbstreit is going against the grain.

The ESPN college football analyst picked Auburn as his sleeper to win the SEC despite the Tigers coming off a disappointing 7-6 season, an uncertain quarterback picture and the dismissal of running back Jovon Robinson.

Herbstreit explained why he's optimistic about Auburn, which is unranked in both the preseason AP and coaches polls, compared to other media members, including those in the SEC media, which picked the Tigers to finish sixth in the SEC West during SEC Media Days.

Well, Aunurn is unranked, coming off a terrible year, and has a criminal transfer at QB. That's been their formula for success in recent years.

That's what scares me. The years when they are expected to crash and burn, they seem to rise above the ashes. But it will be hard to escape the dumpster fire they are in right now, though.

Well, it's only fun to beat them when they think they'll win.  It's in Tuscaloosa this year, so not too worried.  Should be fun.  What, SC, 98-0??

I remember everyone said exactly the same thing about Herbie when he picked them to win the SEC before 2010.

He picked LSU to win it all last year. I watched his picks last night and he's picking a rematch of the Bama-Clemson game for the Natty, with Clemson to win it.

Of course Clemson would win a rematch...No one is better in revenge games than... Oh, nevermind... Wink

Geez, a guy is gone for a few months just to find on return that a usually level-headed commentator has been sipping orange and blue drank, making him ready to go throw toilet paper on trees. Scary to think that Corso may be the sane one.  Shocked

What's different this time: Cam and Marshall aren't on campus.
