Wow, for those of you that didn't get to watch the game or those that didn't stay up to watch the end of the game, you missed a good one. This team has been on a roller coaster ride this year with their up and down play but they did what they had to do last night to get the win thanks to some gutsy at bats in the last inning. Demi Turner, after being injured for most of the year, had her chance to help the team and she did in a great fashion with a line drive off the pitcher to drive in the winning run.

Washington played a good game as well as these two evenly matched teams went at it from the start with both teams having their chances to score some runs early on but the defenses and pitching of both teams did what they had to do to get it into extra innings. Today's game(s) should be no different from last night's game but it will be interesting to see if the mental edge of either team will a little different today after last night.

One more to go to make another World Series appearance. I look for their bats to come alive today.

Washington has some good hitters and Osorio matched their good hitters with some good pitching. Today Littlejohn will have her turn on the pitching rubber unless CPM tries something a little different by starting Madi Moore. Littlejohn is not as tough mentally as Osorio and has shown that of late but Moore has very little game experience. We will have the woman umpire behind the plate today and we've had her before, she doesn't call the corner pitches well and that is what Littlejohn must have to be effective.

I wouldn't mind seeing Lexi pitch again today, in that case.

I posted last week that it looked like she has a blister on one of her pitching fingers and last night she had to have a little medical attention for it. She seemed to pitch okay after havng it worked on but I wonder how it feels this morning. There was a young lady sitting in front of us last night that played college softball and was a catcher and we had a discussion about Littlejohn. She said that Littlejohn pitches better in night games because the batters can't read the spin on her pitches as well as they do in the day games. I found that to be very interesting and it made sense to me in thinking back to her previous games and performances.

Yeah, no SEC Network here at the lodge; not sure who else carries the games.  You know the schedule today and TV coverage??

All of the games are streamed live. Go to rolltide.com to the softball schedule. There is a link to watch the game live. You can also get there on ESPN3.com.

BAMA GOING TO THE CWS!!! THEY BEAT WASHINGTON 5-2.  Applause E-Cred

UGa beats Fla 3-2. UF eliminated and UGa going to the CWS.

LSU also going.

Oklahoma beat ULL 7-6. Bama opens with Ok in the CWS. Ok has won 27 in a row. Will be a very tough test, especially playing in Oklahoma.

Kudos to the ladies, another trip to Oklahoma City. They will be playing Oklahoma in their first game so hopefully they can get a few days rest and be ready for the Sooners.
