Report: Peyton Manning Wants to Keep Playing

Am I the only one who thinks he's waiting for this UT Title-9 crap to calm down before he retires?
He doesn't want it to appear that he retired in shame, or that he quit to avoid association with the UT mess.
I expect him to wait until the last day (March 11?) to announce.


 

I have been wondering how that's playing into it as well.  I don't think he wants to have that end his career or be the last thing people remember about him.

If the Broncos don't drop him by March 9th, he gets something like $16 mil in guaranteed money. I really don't see them keeping him & who would then want a nearly 40 year old, beat up QB?
