I'm still worried about 2012, though. It's my nature. 2012 will be a very challengeing year for Saban after we lose 3 starting LB's, a great RB, all starters at WR, & 3 starters from the secondary.
You worry too much MD. We aren't the only ones losing players every year, but we ARE one of the only ones who replace them with a top notch batch of recruits EVERY year. We are set for a run like we had in the 60's or 70's. I'm OK with
only winning the national championship every other year, with 10 win seasons on our down years.
I was there to watch Coach Bryant during the 1970's and he ALWAYS had at least 12, 13, 14, and even 15 starters returning every year except in 1976, when we went 8-3 in the regular season. Math will catch up to you in football, like it did last year when we lost 10 players on defense. I'm trying to be realistic instead of using intangibles like, Saban knows best, Saban will make it work, etc. Did no one learn nothing from last year? Not trying to sound strident or overly cautious, but when you lose so many solid players from a team (like we did in 2009) it usually comes back to bite you. By the way, when the heck does football season start?
