Sarkisian is in deep-do and could be fired. Expectations have come crashing down. Pat Haden in hot seat, too. Interesting candidates.

Chris Petersen interviewed for the USC job before they hired Sarkisian, then ended up at Washington.  He sounds very happy at Washington; I doubt he would revisit the USC job.

You have to wonder about coaching hires.  Although Old School, for the past several decades it seems that hiring based on pedigree (prior coaching associations) has been highly unsuccessful versus hiring a guy who stands on his own two feet.
