After last year I don't expect a letdown this year.  I'll bet they've heard 14-13 more times this week than they care to count.
If I were a betting man, I might take Arky and the 16 points.  I think Arky is being undervalued.  They beat TN at Knoxville, and played the Aggies to OT.  So while I'm not expecting a letdown exactly, I also don't expect Arky to be a pushover like the 16 point line would suggest.

I agree.  And I've got the pick-'em record to prove it!

Well I still think Bama wins.

It just might not be the blowout the spread suggests.

I don't place any stock in the spread as an indicator of outcome, especially with Bama.  Bama is 0-3 against the spread at home this year, and 3-7 against a home spread the past 10 games.

What this tells me is that the betting public is reluctant to pick against Bama and they have to give more points than justified in order to even out the action.

I've never bet games (for $), but a wise friend once told me, "I've made a ton of money betting against Alabama."  Prolly!

Agreed.  Everyone knows, deep down, that Bama is the best team in the country and can hand out a whupping like no other.

Trevor Matich said Bama was the best team in college football right now on College Football Live yesterday.

If they play like they did against Georgia they are.

The only problem with Matich and others talking how great Alabama is, is the bullseye loads back up on us again and we HAVE to get up for every game every week. This is hard to do. RTR!

I watched the Arky-UT game.  Nobody there to cover Mullaney or Ridley.

Will be headed to Vero Beach Saturday. Will need to leave early, so's not to miss the game.

Lucky dog. Wife & I are roughing it in a beachfront condo at Gulf Shores. Big crowds due Shrimp Festival. Oh well, we will find a way to survive.
