I never thought this could happen to him. What went wrong?

One of the biggest draft busts in recent memory may have reached the end of the line.

Trent Richardson, the running back selected third overall in the 2012 draft, has been released by the Raiders, according to ESPN.

Say what you want about Belicek's ethics, Trent would do well to get picked up by the Pats. May be the only thing that could save his FB career.

I have a hard time believing that.  Didn't he work his tail off when he was at Bama?  I know CSC has talked about having to reign him in in the weight room.  Of course maybe he relaxed after he got his millions.

He was a hard worker in HS and college.  Don't know what he is doing now

It's unlikely that we'll see Richardson again in the NFL, but he'll make around $3.7 million this season to not play football. The Colts' and Raiders' front offices will undoubtedly be kicking themselves over him for a while.

With all the talk about chronic brain injury among retired players, and news of guys walking away from the game in their prime for health concerns, it makes you wonder if some current players might be getting the yips about being banged around. Maybe it's something like that that's holding TR back.

BINGO!! Signing bonus was $13,341,000 with Colts & he made around $3,500,000 for 2 years of "work" with the Browns.

I have to say after we seen the young man who did the stop and go on the Ole Miss player, something has for sure changed. I wonder if somebody in practice hit him and he found out what the NFL was really liked? Could women or drugs got to him? Lordy I hope I am wrong on both accounts! RTR!

He started making bad life decisions.

He will get it together, or he will not.

If he does, someone will pay him to play football.

http://espn.go.com/blog/oakland-raiders/post/_/id/12388/trent-richardson-may-have-played-his-last-down-in-nfl

Tuesday, ESPN analyst Ryan Clark piled on, calling Richardson the worst NFL running back ever to play.

That stings.

Even worse, Michael Dyer gets his spot.
